WORLD'S GREATEST CAPE BUFFALO HUNTS
DVD, running time 1 hour. 27 mins
Journey to the heart of Africa to pursue one of the deadliest of the Big Five in this thrilling collection of Cape buffalo hunts. The Cape buffalo is said to kill more than 200 humans a year, earning the nickname “Black Death.”
A total of 10 buffalo hunts are shown on camera in the countries of Mozambique, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. In addition, there are interviews and re-enactments with several professional hunters, including Jeff Rann, Johnny Vivier, and Simon Evans, who have had close encounters with buffalo where things went wrong. In Zimbabwe, Steve LeBlanc and PH Zayne van der Merwe face down a wounded buffalo in a follow-up in thick brush.
Some people believe the danger of a buffalo is vastly overrated; others think every buffalo is ready to charge at the drop of a hat. Whatever the case, Cape buffalo hunts are fascinating to watch as these animals remain one of the most dangerous in Africa. On this DVD, hear and see harrowing tales of life and death from the hunters and PHs who know all too well that were is no mock charge in a Cape buffalo--when a buffalo charges at a hunter, one of them is about to die.
