In addition, and just as important, it also includes the results of the unique record research on 120 additional Birmingham, Scottish, and regional gunmaking firms and over 70 additional London ones. At one time Great Britain had so many gunmakers that they were almost impossible to count—many of whom have disappeared forever. But it can be fairly said that this set of books has done more to bring their information to the fore in a well-illustrated and produced manner than any other work. If you like British guns and are interested in their history, this set must not be missed.
